SEO recovery for a Singapore maxicab and limo company
A seven-phase plan to win back rankings lost in Google updates.
The problem
A maxicab and limousine company in Singapore had lost a large share of its organic rankings. Enquiries from Google had slowed, and Search Console showed pages dropping out of the top results for booking searches such as maxicab, airport transfer and limo hire.
What we did
We built a structured seven-phase recovery plan and worked through it in order, so each fix could be measured on its own.
- Diagnose: match the traffic drop to Google update dates and Search Console coverage changes
- Clean up spam: suppress and remove spam comments and low-quality URLs
- Technical fixes: indexing, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and page speed
- Content: refresh thin service pages and merge overlapping ones
- Local signals: Google Business Profile, citations and reviews
- Authority: earn relevant links and brand mentions
- Monitor: weekly Search Console checks, reported to the client
Alongside the recovery, we researched domain names for a second maxicab site so the business could target a separate set of searches without competing with itself.
Where it stands
Over the last three months the site earned 263 clicks and 64.3K impressions at an average position of 17.5. The current focus is moving booking keywords from page two to page one, with a weekly Search Console check sent to the client.
